STS 2021 GUIDELINE


PLENARY SESSION, SECTIONAL SESSIONS

Papers will be presented at the plenary sessions, sectional sessions in two formats: pre-recorded video presentations and virtual online presentations.

The conference Program committee highly recommends to have pre-recorded oral presentations, making it possible to switch on a reserve copy of the video presentation in case of any technical problem.

Every participant will have an opportunity to make oral presentation via ZOOM.

After each presentation, speakers will be able to have live communication with the audience via ZOOM.

Oral presentations time limit

  • Plenary session – 20 minutes (15 minutes – presentation, 5 minutes – discussion)
  • Sectional session – 15 minutes (10 minutes – presentation, 5 minutes – discussion)

REQUIREMENTS TO VIDEO PRESENTATIONS (plenary sessions, sectional sessions)

Participants can prepare slide presentations with video narrative for plenary session and sectional sessions using any application exportable to file format MPEG-4 (.mp4).

Recommended specifications:

  • Codec: h.264
  • File type: mp4
  • Aspect ratio: 16:9

REQUIREMENTS TO POSTERS REPORTS

  • File format – *.pdf, file size – maximum 20 Mb, poster size - А4 –А1.
  • Poster report shall include title, authors, purpose of work, its relevance, scientific and practical importance, features of the work, conclusions.
  • Poster report in format – *.pdf shall be sent to e-mail: conf2023@nnc.kz no later than August 20, 2021.

Poster reports will be available at the conference website https://sts2023.nnc.kz a week before the conference opening (from September 01, 2021), for preliminary review.

Virtual session will be open on September 08, 2021 from 09.00 to 18.00 p.m. by Nur-Sultan time (GMT+6) via zoom, where one can address questions to poster paper’s authors.
